Description

The Silver seeds from the Green Up line by Herbatech are a mixture of fine-leaved red fescues, English ryegrass and poe, for the creation of ornamental carpets and flowerbeds.

They germinate and close quickly, creating a fine, homogeneous and dense turf, typical of English lawns. With Silver it will be easy to have a beautiful emerald green lawn,

Silver seeds prefer a sunny climate but also tolerate moderate shade.

The 1.2 kilogram bag allows you to sow up to approximately 70 square meters of surface area.

Germination occurs 5-8 days after sowing. It can be sown from February to mid-November.

Advice on using Silver seeds
GroundDeep, draining, medium-textured, but also clayey and/or loose, with a pH that can range from alkalinity to sub-acidity.
Sowing periodFrom February to October (skipping the months of maximum summer heat). The mixture takes 4 to 10 days to germinate depending on the soil temperature (soil temperature above 12°C).
Recommended dosage20-30 g/m2. The maximum doses are recommended in case of late sowing and/or imperfect tillage of the seed bed.
CutCarry out the first cut when the carpet has reached 6 cm and immediately bring it to 4 cm, so that it does not jeopardize the germination of Poa pratensis. Never remove more than 30% of the vegetation present. Do not go below 40 mm. With mowing management above 60 mm, the carpet becomes coarser, with a more pronounced leaf texture. For cutting heights below 35 mm the use of helical machines is recommended.
NutritionPhosphate fertilization at sowing and then managing the carpet at maturity with 25 units of nitrogen m2/year, choosing specific fertilizers for lawns (programmed release nitrogen). Intervene with at least 4 annual fertilizations.
IrrigationWhen planting, keep the seedbed constantly moist so as not to stop the germination process. In the summer period, irrigate with 10 mm every 2-3 days, taking care not to overwater so as not to encourage seasonal diseases. In case of shade from conifers (pines, firs, etc.) double the wetting times in the hottest periods.
PhytostimulationPlan at least 2 biostimulant treatments between July and August to increase tolerance to heat and foot traffic.
RegenerationUse the same mixture or Royal Park for the regeneration at the end of summer and/or exit from winter, carrying out a light verticut with the removal of the thatch and subsequent distribution of approximately 40-50 g/m2 of Royal Blue or Royal Park to thicken the vegetation. Then fertilize with Biostart P 12.20.15 according to the label instructions.
