Forteprato - 1 kg lawn seeds
For low maintenance ornamental areas.
Forteprato seeds from the Belprato line by Bottos are a mixture of fescues and ryegrass, for the creation of turf for ornamental areas and public places.
They are a medium-large textured mixture of tufted species of European origin.
Designed for new extensive sowing and the creation of technical grassing such as embankments or road beds.
Bottos ' Forteprato seeds allow you to create a carpet with a light color and medium-coarse texture, ideal for the construction of medium-good quality rustic gardens, for naturalistic uses in Mediterranean areas in lowland or coastal areas.
Not suitable for the construction of fine gardens.
The mixture, made up of arundinacea fescue, which performs well in the heat, and ryegrass, characterized by their resistance to the cold, allows for continuous grassing throughout the four seasons, with very low maintenance levels and reduced water and fertilizer consumption.
The 1 kilogram bag allows you to sow up to approximately 50 square meters of surface area.
Germination occurs 4-10 days after sowing. It can be sown from February to November.

Ground | Any type of terrain. |
Sowing period | From February to November. Germination can take from 4 to 10 days in direct correlation with soil temperatures (soil temperature required above 8°C). |
Recommended dosage | 40-50 g/m2. The maximum doses are indicated in the case of overseeding with high temperatures and/or imperfect tillage of the seed bed. |
Cut | Perform the first cut when the grass reaches 8-10 cm. During annual management, in shaded conditions, do not go below 6 cm. If possible, given the type of use, perform more than 4 cuts per year. |
Nutrition | Phosphate fertilization at sowing. For maintenance in the shade, opt for a 1:1.5 N/K ratio with approximately 20 units of nitrogen m2/year; in sunny/shaded and/or full sun situations, it is good practice not to exceed 25 nitrogen units m2/year. |
Irrigation | When planting, keep the seedbed constantly moist so as not to stop the germination process. In the absence of an irrigation system, it is preferable to establish Forteprato in autumn thanks to the help of seasonal rains. |
