Hunter 's X-Core residential controller offers simple operation and is compatible with Hunter remote controls and the Solar Sync Evapotranspiration “smart” sensor. With easy and intuitive programming, versions from 2 to 8 stations, 3 programs with 4 starts each, X-Core is the perfect solution for residential applications.
Equipped with a manual backup utility that stores a programmer's schedule in its entirety and its configuration data in backup memory. This way, you can restore your saved watering schedule at any time. The feature can be used to restore a controller to its initial settings after it has been tampered with or at the start of a new season.
The watering delay is programmable. User-specified number of days that the controller will remain in Off mode and then automatically revert to automatic watering. This will prevent watering during long periods of adverse weather but automatically reactivate it without requiring further intervention on the controller. The programmer displays the number of days remaining before watering resumes.
The Quick check function allows for rapid diagnosis of valve wiring problems in the field by quickly checking each circuit for any faults. Quick Check is able to detect a short circuit in the wiring by displaying the ERR message and the number of the station involved.

Automatic Short Circuit Protection Automatic short circuit protection, available in all AC-powered Hunter controllers, automatically detects typical electrical faults due to damage or wiring problems. The shorted stations are skipped allowing irrigation to continue for the non-faulty stations. No fuses to change or circuit breakers to trip causing a total interruption of irrigation.
Seasonal adjustment: manual or automatic with solar sync This function allows quick adjustments to irrigation times via a percentage graduated scale. During peak season set the setting to 100%. If weather conditions require less water, enter an appropriate percentage value (e.g. 50%) to limit watering times without having to change each station in the program. This model offers two different ways to use seasonal adjustment to limit water consumption: Global and Daily. – Global: The global option provides a seasonal adjustment percentage to all programs and all controller starts. – Daily (via optional Solar Sync sensor): Allows an automatic daily change based on weather conditions detected by the Solar Sync ET sensor. This sensor is optional.
Delay Between Stations Users can program a delay between stations when the controller switches between stations. The delay can last a few seconds (to allow the valves to close more slowly) or longer periods (to have more time to recharge the pressure tanks), based on user needs.
Sensor Programmability Ability to specify which program will stop in response to a specific sensor alarm. Allows programs not affected by the sensor to continue automatic operations.
Total run time calculator This function adds all run times and calculates the total duration of a program with the ability to instantly view the total duration of an irrigation cycle on the display. This data can be used to determine the time of day when watering will end.
