The Pedrollo FN-20 NUD mechanical seal features a different mounting geometry, specific for Pedrollo standardized centrifugal pumps of the FG series.
Suitable for electric pumps with a 20 mm crankshaft.
The FN-20 NUD mechanical seal is mainly used on standard centrifugal pumps.
The mechanical seal's job is to keep the hydraulic part separate from the electrical part. It prevents water from reaching the bearings and motor.
The FN-20 NUD seal allows shaft rotation without the use of a rigid seal.
The seal consists of two parts: a rotating one and a fixed one. Made of graphite, silicon carbide, EPDM, and AISI 316L stainless steel.
The seal inside the electric pump is one of the most stressed parts and is therefore subject to wear. It's important to replace it when water is found in the motor.
