The volcanic lapillo Lapillo 33 from Plastiche 3F is used in mixtures in the creation of green roofs.
It provides balanced drainage. Its drainage properties are similar to those of common river and quarry aggregates, but thanks to its internal porosity, it can absorb and retain part of the rainwater.
It has mechanical characteristics capable of guaranteeing load-bearing capacity and stability over time.
The internal porosity of the Lapillo 33 mineral guarantees low specific weights compared to common aggregates and topsoil.
Furthermore, the internal porosity of the volcanic material guarantees, on the one hand, adequate water retention and nutrient retention capacity and, on the other, the presence at any time and in any situation of oxygen at a gaseous level, essential for the development and growth of the root system.
