It's time to check the soil moisture at the roots.
With Rain Bird 's new SMRT-Y Soil Moisture Sensor Kit, an irrigation controller directly reads the moisture content in the soil.
When the sensor detects dry conditions, it enables the next scheduled irrigation cycle. If the soil moisture level is above the threshold, the irrigation cycle is suspended.
There are only two basic components: a sensor that will be installed in the ground and a user interface that will be installed on the controller.
SMRT-Y turns any controller into a smart water-saving controller.
Healthier landscapes are less susceptible to nutrient depletion, fungi, and shallow root growth.
Thanks to this sensor, typical water savings exceed 40%.
The TDT digital sensor enables extremely accurate readings independent of soil temperature and electrical conductivity (EC).
SMRT-Y displays soil moisture content, soil temperature.
The ground sensor is made of high quality 304 stainless steel and is corrosion resistant.
