The Pedrollo AR-15 mechanical seal is mainly used in small and medium-sized Pedrollo surface electric pumps.
Suitable for electric pumps with a 15 mm crankshaft.
The AR-15 mechanical seal is mainly used on self-priming swimming pool pumps.
The mechanical seal's job is to keep the hydraulic part separate from the electrical part. It prevents water from reaching the bearings and motor.
The AR-15 seal allows the shaft to rotate without using a rigid seal.
The seal consists of two parts: a rotating one and a fixed one. It is made of ceramic, graphite, NBR, and AISI 304 stainless steel.
The seal inside the electric pump is one of the most stressed parts and is therefore subject to wear. It's important to replace it when water is found in the motor.
