The Pedrollo STA-22 SIC mechanical seal is used for medium and large Pedrollo electric pumps.
Suitable for electric pumps with a 22 mm crankshaft.
The STA-22 SIC mechanical seal is used in submersible electric pumps used in both professional drainage and wastewater treatment.
The mechanical seal's job is to keep the hydraulic part separate from the electrical part. It prevents water from reaching the bearings and motor.
The STA-22 SIC seal allows shaft rotation without the use of a rigid seal.
The seal consists of two parts: a rotating one and a fixed one. Made of silicon carbide, NBR, and AISI 304 stainless steel.
SIC surfaces guarantee high resistance to wear and harsh working conditions.
The seal inside the electric pump is one of the most stressed parts and is therefore subject to wear. It's important to replace it when water is found in the motor.
