The Pedrollo STA-24 mechanical seal is used for medium and large sized Pedrollo electric pumps.
Suitable for electric pumps with a 24 mm crankshaft.
The STA-24 mechanical seal used in submersible electric pumps intended for lifting dirty and waste water.
The mechanical seal's job is to keep the hydraulic part separate from the electrical part. It prevents water from reaching the bearings and motor.
The STA-24 seal allows shaft rotation without the use of a rigid seal.
The seal consists of two parts: a rotating one and a fixed one. It is made of ceramic, graphite, NBR, and AISI 304 stainless steel.
The seal inside the electric pump is one of the most stressed parts and is therefore subject to wear. It's important to replace it when water is found in the motor.
