The Mito single-phase inverter by Italtecnica is an electronic device that controls the start and stop of an electric pump, regulating its operation in proportion to the instantaneous withdrawal. It is suitable for domestic applications, where withdrawals are of medium-short duration and generally spaced out throughout the day.
The pump is initially started at maximum speed and then progressively adjusted according to the required flow rate. In this way, the pressure to the uses arrives at a constant value for greater comfort. The pressure regulation occurs for a maximum time (settable in the "Cool mode" parameter from 0 to 30 minutes depending on the type of pump), during which the end of the withdrawal is assumed.
After this period, if the water withdrawal continues, the pump motor is brought to maximum speed to avoid overheating caused by the reduced ventilation. When all withdrawals are closed, the pump stops and the consequent cooling of the motor allows the regulation time to be restored for the next pump start-up cycle, in a unitary ratio between the pause time and the operating time (one minute of stoppage corresponds to one minute of regulation in the next cycle).
