The pre-seeded biotextile Viresco Pratens by Virens is a revolutionary tool created to make new lawn sowing simpler and more effective for both professionals and hobbyists.
It is a pre-seeded felt completely of natural origin and totally biodegradable in about 4 months, green in colour, very light as 50 square meters weigh about 10 kilograms. It is elastic, only 3 millimeters thick and adheres perfectly to the ground.
The plot contains seeds of the most varied turf species protected from rain and impetuous irrigation, birds and insects.
The seeds are suitable for different environmental and climatic situations and are combined with granular fertilizers for better initial establishment, all of top quality and dosed with the utmost precision to avoid harmful excesses or deficiencies.
The result will be a healthy, dense lawn with better weed control.
With Viresco Pratens there are no seed losses due to excessive depth as often happens in traditional sowing.
It offers excellent results even on the steepest terrain and protects against run-off and soil erosion. Viresco Pratens adheres to the ground like a protective film, ensuring that surface erosion is stopped from the moment of installation. It then allows the effective establishment of the lawn and only subsequently does it totally biodegrade.
It is also suitable for canal and pond banks, hanging gardens.
The use of Viresco Pratens significantly reduces the work in sowing new lawns.
The installation system is very simple as in a first phase the soil is prepared by completely eliminating the pre-existing grasses from the root and turning over the first 5/10 centimetres, the large structure is crumbled and the surface is levelled.
Then the biofelt is spread, making it adhere to the ground and watered regularly until the turf emerges completely.
In flat terrain, irrigation water is usually sufficient to fix Viresco Pratens, but to give it greater stability or in sloping situations it is advisable to anchor it with our lightweight steel U-nails or pegs.
Viresco Pratens felt is easily shaped with simple scissors.
Stored dry in its own nylon packaging, it has a shelf life of over 1 year.

Patented X-Flow device for closing the water
