The Brio Tank automatically controls the start and stop of single-phase electric pumps up to 2HP. It allows you to completely replace the traditional system consisting of a pressure switch and expansion tank.
It starts the electric pump following the decrease in pressure and stops it when the flow of liquid is interrupted at the maximum pressure of the electric pump.
The device incorporates a small 0.4 liter expansion vessel which prevents the continuous start and stop of the electric pump in the event of system leaks or small water requests.
The pressure gauge is integrated which protects against dry running and water hammer.
It can be installed in any position, both vertical and horizontal, respecting the direction of the flow.

This is a replacement for an old Brio 2000M. The old Brio continuously stopped and started the pump even if the water flow was as high as 20 L/min. Reset of the flow sensor did not help. Perhaps the sensor is dirty but the sensor cannot be removed for cleaning in the old model. Water should not be particularly dirty because a 50 micron filter is in use. The new 2023 Brio Tank allows very low water flow without stopping the pump. I tested with 3,4 L/min. I had to increase the starting pressure from factory setting by turning the knob 2 total turns clockwise. My highest water tap is about 16 meters above the lake.
