The Pedrollo AR-12ST6 mechanical seal stands out for its spring construction made of AISI316 stainless steel.
It is mainly used in small and medium-sized Pedrollo surface electric pumps with pump body, cover, impeller and shaft in AISI 316L stainless steel.
Suitable for electric pumps with a 12 mm crankshaft.
The mechanical seal's job is to keep the hydraulic part separate from the electrical part. It prevents water from reaching the bearings and motor.
The AR-12ST6 seal allows shaft rotation without the use of a rigid seal.
The seal consists of two parts: a rotating one and a fixed one. Made of ceramic, graphite, NBR, and AISI 316L stainless steel.
The seal inside the electric pump is one of the most stressed parts and is therefore subject to wear. It's important to replace it when water is found in the motor.
