The Pedrollo STA-12R SIC mechanical seal is mainly used in small Pedrollo surface electric pumps.
Suitable for electric pumps with a 12 mm crankshaft.
The STA-12R SIC mechanical seal used for the Pedrollo TOP MULTI 1-AD multistage electric pump.
The mechanical seal's job is to keep the hydraulic part separate from the electrical part. It prevents water from reaching the bearings and motor.
The STA-12R SIC seal allows shaft rotation without the use of a rigid seal.
The seal consists of two parts: a rotating one and a fixed one. Made of ceramic, graphite, NBR, and AISI 316L stainless steel.
The seal inside the electric pump is one of the most stressed parts and is therefore subject to wear. It's important to replace it when water is found in the motor.
