The Pedrollo FN-24 KU SIC mechanical seal is mainly used in medium and large Pedrollo surface electric pumps.
It has a reduced installation length, standardised according to EN 12756, and is reinforced thanks to the use of silicon carbide.
Suitable for electric pumps with a 24 mm crankshaft.
The FN-24 KU SIC mechanical seal is mainly used on HT pumps.
The mechanical seal's job is to keep the hydraulic part separate from the electrical part. It prevents water from reaching the bearings and motor.
The FN-24 KU SIC seal allows shaft rotation without the use of a rigid seal.
The seal consists of two parts: a rotating one and a fixed one. Made of graphite, silicon carbide, NBR, and AISI 316L stainless steel.
The seal inside the electric pump is one of the most stressed parts and is therefore subject to wear. It's important to replace it when water is found in the motor.
