The MINI8-CV check valve from TORO Irrigazione is compatible with the Mini 8 rotor sprinkler from TORO Irrigation.
Essential for sloped systems. When the system shuts down, water in the pipe tends to reach the sprinklers located lower down. The MINI8-CV valve automatically closes the passage and prevents this water from escaping through the turbine.
The valve prevents dripping after the system is closed, reduces puddles and muddy areas and limits soil washout around the sprinkler.
Furthermore, it keeps the pipe full between 2 cycles, reduces the time required to bring the line back up to pressure, can reduce noise and stress at start-up and avoids wasting the water remaining in the pipes.
The MINI8-CV valve is particularly useful in sloping gardens, terraced flowerbeds and when there are different heights.
Also suitable for areas near driveways, sidewalks or pavements or in light or sandy soils subject to erosion.
If the height difference exceeds 2.4 meters, the valve may not be able to fully retain the water column. In that case, it's best to divide the system into elevation zones or choose a solution with greater retention capacity.
It is not a complete sprinkler, but an internal check valve.
