Description

The REL-BIST 9-volt bistable relay is designed specifically for the world of professional irrigation.

It is used to interface the Toro DDCW and Toro TDC control units, which work at low voltage, with external electrical power circuits, such as pumps, garden lights or fountains.

Battery-powered control units only emit a small 9-volt electrical pulse. Such a small current could never power a 220-volt electric pump.

The REL-BIST relay solves this problem. It receives a 9-volt pulse and, thanks to its bistable mechanism, connects and maintains the 220-volt power line until it receives a second switch-off pulse.

It does not consume energy from the control unit's battery but consumes energy only in the very few milliseconds in which it receives the switch pulse.
