Don't dig, WATER your garden!
10 tips to revive your irrigation system ...
and to your garden!

SIXTH Council
TPV self-cleaning valve
Problem
  • Dirt, debris and small stones that settle on the membrane can prevent the valve from closing.
  • A valve that does not close at the end of the irrigation cycle causes a significant waste of water as the irrigation zone will remain open.
  • The overwatered lawn area will suffer damage and tend to rot.
  • The remaining areas of the system will have little pressure because they will work simultaneously with an open area and consequently the sprinkler jet will be significantly reduced, thus leaving uncovered and dry areas.
  • If the valve is blocked during a period of prolonged absence, you will probably be able to intervene to correct the problem only after several days.
Solution and benefits
  • TORO TPV valves are extremely reliable and significantly reduce the risk of the valve remaining open.
  • The self-cleaning DBS Technology makes them suitable for all applications, even with dirty water.
  • You will also save electricity. If you irrigate your garden using an autoclave or a pump that takes from a well or a cistern, you will avoid the waste due to the operating costs of the pump that has been left on unnecessarily for hours or days.
